Kuniokoa stove goes into production!

The first Kuniokoa stove, a natural draft stove designed by BURN in partnership with our lab, rolled off the assembly line at the BURN manufacturing facility in Kenya on the 9th of November. The Kuniokoa emits significantly less particulate matter and is more efficient compared to other traditional cooking methods.

The mechanical engineering department at the University of Washington hosted a workshop focusing on  the development of clean cookstoves.   Participants included Eliot Levine from DOE, Raynee Chiang from GACC, Burn Design Labs, Berkeley Air, Colorado State University, Lawrence Berkeley National Labs, and Aprovecho.
