Real-Time Emissions Monitoring

Current Research

We have developed a real-time emissions monitoring system that measures combustion gases, particulate matter, excess air, among others. Real-time monitoring system has proven to be an invaluable tool in better understanding of cookstove characteristics and operation and has aided in technical design and innovation. Our emissions monitoring system includes a carbon monoxide sensor, a carbon dioxide sensor, and a tapered element oscillating microbalance (TEOM) for soot mass measurement.
